bulletAccessBdlogo.gif (11959 bytes)The Access Board of the federal government is the primary source for Americans with Disabilities Act information.  This site enables you to get copies of and download important technical information, such as the ADA Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG), and provides information on forthcoming updates in areas such as outdoor recreation, play areas, children's facilities, etc.  A valuable and excellent site.

bulletThe Department of Justice ADA Home Page is the starting point for all kinds of technical and legal information.   Many documents are available and/or can be read using an Acrobat Reader.
 
bulletADA Document Portal - The ADA Collection consists of about 3,400 documents organized into 10 categories shown in the left column. Use the links in the left column to browse to the individual categories and documents in the collection.

bullet Esealslogo1.gif (9049 bytes)     Easter Seals Washington is the Washington affiliate of one of the foremost organizations working to provide independence for people with disabilities.   The site is an excellent resource for people with disabilities and their families, services, and for information about accessibility.

bulletThe Center For Universal Design, North Carolina State University has a site offering accessible product evaluations, studies and discussion of Universal Design Principles.

bulletAccess-Able is an excellent site offering practical information on accessible transportation, lodging , etc, as well as excellent travel links.

bulletWebAble! is an interesting site of the Yuri Rubinsky Insight Foundation, which has a web directory of disability related Internet resources.  Their mission is R&D to ensure access to advanced information systems.

bulletAgeless Design is a site operated by an architectural gerontologist, with tips for making a safer home for those with disabilities associated with aging.

Thomas W. Schmokel's "Expert List", an excellent list of accessibility resources and links.

Washington's State Building Code Council (SBCC) has an excellent set of links to model code, building associations, and governmental sites.
