NEW Survey Solutions Software ©
- More Features Benefit Clients
E&A's proprietary accessibility survey software has been completely
rewritten on a new platform to be better than ever. It is faster and even more sophisticated than before, enabling more cost
effective surveys and recommendations.
It has enhanced ability to cite local State requirements and citations, in addition
to ADA. We can factor itemized costs more easily to adjust for geographical and
budget year factors. All this is behind the scenes to our clients, but it is part of
how we provide superior accessibility surveys.

New ADAAG Issued by The Access Board on July 23,
2004
There's a new ADAAG, the technical standard for
the ADA. However, it is not yet enforceable as law until it is adopted by
the U.S. Department of justice and other applicable agencies. The revision
aims to accomplish many
things at once:
- Reorganize the document more clearly into scoping and technical standards, with
numbering nearly matching the 1998 ANSI A117.1 technical document adopted by most building
codes.
- Add technical standards for specialty building types such as Self -Storage buildings.
- Integrate the ADA and ABA (for public sector) into one document.
- Clarify many technical standards with better language, and provide information
previously only in diagrams into written details.
- Some revised standards - some minor - other sections completely rewritten, such as
Communications Systems.
Are you up to date on these
standards?
Endelman & Associates PLLC is.

PIKE PLACE MARKET - ADA Survey of the #1 Tourist attraction in Washington State
Completed
Endelman & Associates PLLC and our sub-consultant Studio Pacifica Ltd. were selected
by the Pike Place Market PDA to perform accessibility surveys of the 12 buildings and 3
parking lots comprising this historic, and much alive, historic landmark. The
project is now completed.

Photos 2 and 3 courtesy Pike Place Market PDA.
This was a very exciting project. Providing improved accessibility
in this historic landmark and heavily used series of interconnected structures will
enable scores of locals and tourists alike to enjoy the stall market and shops. Our
survey report will help the PDA determine what should be done, budget the work, and
prioritize barrier removal to improve accessibility where readily achievable.
